New Year, New Hours, Old Priorities

A year ago I started to work full time. I did it for a variety of reasons; money, mostly.
Here's something I discovered. I lost my balance.
I had my ideal balance when I worked part-time.
I was gone in the morning, and I was home by 1 or 2 with time to nap, work in the garden and make dinner.
In 2012 I had no balance. I was gone all day at work. I barely saw my daughter, barely had time to spend with her let alone my husband, and  I didn't have time for myself, if I did get some free time I had to take it from some where. So I missed work, missed time with my daughter or my husband. Not an easy choice.
Being the 9-5 mom didn't work for me, or my family. It just didn't.
More to the point the extra money was nice, but I really missed spending time in the garden, spending time teaching my daughter new things, and spending time with my husband.
My New Years Resolution is:  work part-time, plant a garden again, spend more time with my family, and to find my balance. Good-bye 9-5 mom and hello 9-2 mom.
